Challenge Participation

Description of Activity

I understand that the Hang Bar Challenge involves gripping an overhead bar with both hands and hanging with my feet clear of the ground for as long as possible. The activity requires grip strength and sustained upper-body exertion, particularly through the hands, wrists, forearms, arms, shoulders and back.

Assumption of Risk

I acknowledge and understand that participation in the Hang Bar Challenge involves inherent risks, which may include but are not limited to:

  • Slipping or falling from the bar
  • Muscle strains, sprains or tears
  • ⁠Blisters, skin tears, bruising or joint strain
  • Injury to the hands, wrists, arms, shoulders or back
  • Overexertion, dizziness or loss of grip
  • Aggravation of existing medical conditions

I voluntarily choose to participate and accept all risks, whether known or unknown, associated with this activity.

Health Declaration

By signing this form, I confirm that:

  • I am physically fit and have no medical condition that would make it unsafe for me to participate, or I have chosen to participate despite such conditions.
  • I am not under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • I will follow all safety instructions provided by event staff.

I understand I should stop immediately if I feel pain, dizziness, or discomfort.


Liability Waiver & Release

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I agree that:

  • I participate at my own risk.
  • I release and hold harmless the event organiser, venue, sponsors, staff, and volunteers from any claims, losses, or damages arising from my participation except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

 

Photo, Video & Social Media Consent

I understand that photographs and/or video recordings may be taken during the event.

I grant permission for the organiser to use my image, likeness, and recordings for:

  • Event promotion
  • Social media posts
  • Website content
  • Marketing and publicity materials

This may include use on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and websites. I understand that no compensation will be provided.

Data Protection

I understand that my personal data will be handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws and used only for event related purposes.
